All Natural Tinnitus Treatments

It was in during the 1980's that the audiologists first realized the Tinnitus Terminator Review  potential harm that the walkmans could do to the human ear. The researches proved that the loud music lovers are always at a risk of developing hearing problems. The walkmans or the portable compact disc players were the cutting edge music devices then, as the MP3 players are today. Many organizations are promoting safe music listening these days, as it is the uncontrolled and irrational use of these devices that affects our ears. The kind of hearing loss noticed in young people now a days specifically the aging adults, is due to the use of in the ear type headphone. Despite the fact, that most youngsters prefer in the ear type headphone, it has been proved widely that this type of headphone pose a greater threat to the ears rather than the conventional muff, over the ear headphones.
The fact that the in the ear phones can be placed directly into the ear is not the only reason for the harm it does. These can boost the sound signals by six to nine decibels, which is the difference in the intensity of sound of a vacuum cleaner and that of a motorcycle. These facts have been proved by Professor Garstecki, the head at the Roxelyn and Richard Pepper Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. Apart from the very intense sound signals, these devices have a very long battery life and hold a large amount of music. This encourages the listeners to listen to loud music for long periods of time which does increase the risk of hearing loss.
Professor Garstecki refers to an audiologist friend at the Wichita State University, who polled the use of ear phones from any student he saw and asked them to calculate the signals going into their heads. What he gathered from that data was that a few students heard a sound of intensity ranging between 110 to 120 decibels. The sound levels of this sound match the intensity of sound in rock concerts and it is enough for these sound levels to affect your ears in just an hour and fifteen minutes.
There is a solution to these problems suggested by the experts. By following the 60percent/60 minute rule these problems can be eliminated to quite an extent. It is recommended that one should not use an MP3 or mini CD player for more than an hour per day and at a volume less than 60% of the maximum volume. If the listeners reduce the volume any further they can increase the time duration per day.
